BMW M12 Head Development

Here are the latest pictures of our BMW M12 cylinder head, during the machining process and fitted to a fully rebuilt engine. This particular engine in ‘B’ spec delivered 296BHP @ 9000RPM and 180lbs ft of torque

This cylinder head as seen in these pictures is our first casting attempt currently in machining we are expecting to be producing them after our first tests in July.  
Latest Development BMW M12 F2 Replacement Cylinder Head
  

This cylinder head is a direct replacement for the factories’ original BMW 16 valve head which was used when BMW returned to F2 in 1973, the company supplied only engines.

Although officially backing the March team's effort for drivers Jean-Pierre Beltoise and Jean-Pierre Jarier, they also supplied engines for teams such as Beta Racing (with German Hans Joachim Stuck) and Brian Lewis Racing. From 1973 to the end of Formula 2 in 1984.
